Stop press - new Liberty fabrics!
Have you seen the new range of fabrics over at Liberty? Long loved by makers/crafters their fabrics are often recognisable and have recently been introduced to the younger set through Top Shop using some of their designs.
I've mentioned before my love of certain children's book illustrators so was delighted that Liberty's latest range includes fabrics designed or inspired by a selection of them.
From the top are designs inpired by Jane Ray, David McKee, this delightful design "Tuesday Trees" - Lauren Child (in 4 colourways)
and this last one Plum Dog - Emma Chichester Clark (also in 4 colourways). Scrummy!
And yes, there's a Brian Wildsmith one for lovers of his work (although it's disappointing) and also Quentin Blake...

Scrumptious! I've just come home from Liberty, anyone with a Liberty loyalty card may like to know there is 20% off between now and Saturday - very handy as I needed binding for my first Liberty quilt! The rosy fabric at the top of your post was definitely there (lovely) but I don't recognise many of the novelty ones.

The trees one is my favourite! Thanks for your comment - I thought of you the moment I found that ticking, so I'm really glad you spotted it!
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough, I brought a couple of metres of Emma Chichester Clark Kayoko fabric this afternoon (online!) and applied for my loyalty card too for the discount. Very happy.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully designed fabrics, especially like the Lauren Child design, just works of art aren't they Linda x
ReplyDeleteLauren Child? Of CHarlie and Lola fame? That's my favourite one too - I've always loved the designs in her animations.
ReplyDeleteThese are great designs, love the plum dog.

You should check out the Broadmarsh charity shops there is a new one opening near Wilkinsons and The Charity Shop which Grace runs is in Hockley next to Oxfam Boutique. It is like an amazing treasure trove.

Wend,
ReplyDeleteWe share a mutual passion for children's illustrators I think. Now I want to see the Brian Wildsmith one of course! I cannot imagine that all work translates to fabric design as well as some others. I'll have to have a look at the Liberty website and track these down.I knew nothing about this so thanks for the heads up. Lesley
I used to buy tons of libery fabric, and someone "gave" me some the other day - I am in heaven! Great new designs. xxx
