Ideas for the weekend

If you're short of something to do this weekend here's some inspiration for you

1 - have some fun with old carrier bags and do a bit of fancy interior styling (picture taken at a shop in Notting Hill)

2 - look for old ship mastheads at the local car boot

3 - stretch some cling film between a couple of posts and get to work with a spray can or two. And yes that really is cling film, I had a look round the back! !

Have fun and enjoy your weekend!

  1. What a brilliant post Wendy. I love the figurehead, just love it. I am also left in wonderment at the cling film piece of art. How did he get all the squares so angular and clean looking using spray cans and I wonder if the cling film reacted to the spray later. I would haved loved to have stood and watched this piece evolving.....

  2. Wend, Is that string between the carrier bag bits?

I know every time I visit your blog that it will either make me smile, give me ideas to springboard off, or just purely entertain me.

Love it, love it, love it.

Not sure about the old ship mastheads though? I grapple each and every morning with my own 'boossom' withoug having wooden ones to worry about! LLX

  3. Hi Wend, hoping to see you - and your barkcloth at Northampton Vintage Fair!

  4. I'm intrigued by the cling film artist - I would have thought the paint would run off. One learns something new everyday.

  5. I think there is more chance of finding carrier bags - must be the way to go!

  6. Off to find the clingfilm right now! Will try it on a smaller scale first, due to only having one roll of clingfilm in cupboard - lol.

  7. Next time you find a ships masthead at your local car boot sale can you give me a call please...
    See you Saturday Wendy.

  8. Hurray!!!!! Roll on the 11th September!!! I am really looking forward to meet you at last. xxxxx

  9. Brilliant post Wendy. Amazing cling film art!
